Hello Gentle Viewers/ Readers!
Today was another day of adventure, but not quite in the way you would expect.
First of all, I saw a total of 48 patients today! It was the largest number of patients I have seen in a day so far! Many of the cases were the kinds I have seen before, such as diabetes, hypertension, a sore, weight issues, pregnancy, etc, but the volume was crazy. I guess it goes to show a doctor's day can be pretty unpredictable!
And guess what I had for lunch... a veggie burger! And fries! (I have a picture, I'll load it when the internet decides to cooperate)
Not that I don't like Indian food, believe me I do, but having rice with almost every meal can get a little...well... ya know. Anyway, it was fantastic, fresh veggies, a thick, buttered bun with mayo and peppers and tomatoes and ketchup. Man. It was delicious. And then, just when I thought my day couldn't be more complete - they gave us fries. Like real, deep, American fries. I was so content. It was great. Then, to make it a complete american experience, I took a nap. COMPLETEEE!!
We also went for a walk and ice cream after dinner tonight. With this being the first real sort of physical exercise I've had in the past two weeks, it was wonderful.
Even though it doesn't seem like a whole lot happened, I feel really accomplished today. I am now off to write thank you cards to all of the lovely people at Stephen Nursing Home. They really have been so nice and kind to me when I'm so far away from home, and I'm really sad tomorrow is my last day :(
But all in all folks, it was a good wholesome day, and tomorrow is Friday! I can't believe this weekend marks the halfway point of my journey! Its really flown by so far!
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
